Please read below the content of today's email to our 6th Year Students from the Principal:
Hi everyone,
Just saying hello and I want you to know that if I or the school can do anything to help you, please let me know.
At this stage, I hope you have established a productive routine - I suggest sticking to school hours, i.e. getting up early and if you can complete six productive hours that is more than enough daily.
I hope you are getting some fresh air - you can do so at your back door, rather than gather in groups inappropriately.
You will have seen the announcement re: LC Orals and the LC Music Practical. It is, on balance, probably good news. The decision is explained by the State Exams Commission Frequently Asked Questions document that you can find on the new school website. The work you have done will stand to you in the written papers in June.
All of your teachers are available to you. I trust that they are sending you work and correcting the work you return to them. Like you, they are adjusting to the new circumstances. Don't be afraid to ask for more work and help if you need it.
Hard as it is, please try to keep your spirits up and your work rate steady.
As I said at the start, if there is anything I / we can do, please ask.
Mind yourselves and I will see you soon.
Kind Regards,
Eric Gaughran
